Tirupati MP Chinta Mohan is now pitching for the metro rail project to Tirupati

TIRUPATI: Buoyed by the Centre’s nod for two major projects — the international airport at Renigunta close to Tirupati and upgradation of
Tirupati railway station to international standards, Tirupati MP Chinta Mohan is now pitching for the metro rail project to solve the burgeoning traffic woes of the temple town.

The MP, in a recent letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, said the metro rail could ease the traffic congestion in the temple town to a large extent and urged him to consider granting the prestigious project to Tirupati.
